Halli + James | A Long Hunter State Park Wedding

Long Hunter State Park wasn’t Halli + Jamie’s initial location choice for their wedding. They had originally planned to host their wedding at an estate in the Nashville area, but then Covid happened, and everything was up in the air. They finally decided to go through with their wedding & simply change the location. I’m so glad they did. They had a beautiful day with their friends and family!

Halli did a great job creating an indoor-outdoor boho feel with their decorations! She brought couches and other furniture to the park and set up cozy seating areas for all their guests. I loved the vibe she came up with for her wedding!

Long Hunter State Park has probably never looked so homey!! And we still had plenty of space to create beautiful portraits of Halli, James, and their wedding party! Halli is a natural in front of the camera, and she rocked her bridal portraits!

This was the first time I had ever photographed a wedding at Long Hunter State Park, and I loved it! There was tons of space to work with, so while we were taking photos, the rest of the wedding party was able to keep themselves occupied at the buffet or just hanging out in another section of the space Halli & Jamie had rented!

For Halli & Jamie’s first look, Halli really wanted an “in-the-forest” feel, so we walked back toward the trail and found a glowy opening in the trees!

They had such a beautiful wedding party! The bridesmaids dressed definitely added to the fall-boho feel Halli was going for!

We had a little extra time before the ceremony for portraits! I’m sure the forest was a big reason why Halli + Jamie chose Long Hunter State Park, so we made some forest photos happen for them!

We also took some portraits of them with their adorable son, Everett!

Before the ceremony, we also did a first look with Halli’s dad and her brother, Sam.

The ceremony site was gorgeous! Right on the water and surrounded by beautiful greenery.

Everett was the cutest ring-bearer. He tripped walking down the aisle, but he just walked it off!

After the ceremony, we were able to take some time for a few more bride + groom portraits!

Then we headed off so they could enjoy their reception!

Halli + Jamie truly created a beautiful, homey-feeling wedding out of a simple campsite at Long Hunter State Park! I was so impressed with their creativity and their positive attitudes despite their original plans being canceled. I am so happy for their family and I wish them the best in all the years to come!
