Although I spend most weekends photographing weddings these days, portrait sessions were my first love. I love capturing the joy + emotions during each season of your life. Maybe it’s an announcement session to share the excitement of finding out you’re expecting a baby. Or your first session as a family with your newest addition - and you never want to forget your newborn’s tiny features or your toddler’s precious laugh. Maybe your little ones are not so little anymore & it’s time for a senior session.
Whatever stage of life you find yourself in, I am so honored to freeze these little moments in time for you and your family. Our lives are made more beautiful by the moments we share with the people we love, and I find so much joy in creating art that helps those moments last a lifetime for you.

Ivy is an extremely professional kind- hearted person. She was very patient with my three year old and 18 month old grandchildren. She was able to form a bond with them in such a short amount of time. They fell in love with her right away."
I was so honored when my dear friend Halea asked me to photograph her family. I was also NERVOUS - it can be nerve-wracking to photograph another photographer! But feels so special when a fellow photographer trusts you enough to book a session with you. This cloudy March day was perfect for a family session. I could just feel the love between these three - and isn’t Garner the cutest?
Sweet sixteens deserve to be celebrated with photos! This is such a big milestone that I remember looking forward to in my childhood and teens. I was so excited when Daisy asked me to take these portraits for her! I’ve known her since she was a toddler, so I may have been just a little emotional editing & realizing she’s almost grown up. Isn’t she stunning?! I love her sense of style and the downtown vibe she chose for the location.
This maternity session was extra special to me because Kendra & Caleb were some of my first-ever wedding clients! They trusted me way back in 2017, when I was just doing this as a hobby. Since then, it feels like they’ve become friends, and I love having a front-row seat to watch their family grow. Baby Arp has since made her arrival, but these pictures will always be so special!
Baby announcement photos are some of my favorite sessions! For Jen + Austin (& many couples I’m sure), this session is evidence of God’s faithfulness in their life. They’ve prayed for this for a while, and I am so happy for their little family. Their session location was also extra special because it’s where they got engaged! I love when photos show everything coming full-circle.
Graduating nursing school is a big deal, and I’m so happy Taylor chose me to document this accomplishment for her. We did two sessions - one casual session with a few different outfits in a scenic location to showcase her personal style, and a later cap and gown session on campus at TWU. She’s stunning and I’m so happy I got to document this season of life for her!
When Lindsay asked me if I could take some photos of her and her sister with their horses, my answer was an immediate yes. How fun is this?! She and Paisley had grown up with these horses, and sadly the horses are getting older. So they wanted a session they’d be able to look back on and cherish. I LOVE how they turned out!

My photographic style is light, natural, and vibrant. I love incorporating a mixture of traditional posing and more candid-style prompting into my sessions. So there will be times when I give you super specific direction to create a pose, and other times when I will give you a prompt (example: asking a toddler to run up and give mom a hug, or asking a family to look at the person who makes you laugh the most).
I love traveling for portrait sessions when possible! Sessions under an hour must be local (within 30 miles) to me. Sessions an hour or more can be anywhere from Knoxville to Chattanooga. Anywhere outside of that radius will incur a travel fee.
I usually provide a minimum of 25 images for a 30-minute session, 50 for a 1-hour session, and 75+ for 1.5-hr or longer sessions!
I’ll send you an styling guide before your session to help you choose your outfits! As a general rule, it’s better to complement than to match. For example, instead of everyone wearing burgundy, incorporate some complementary colors into the outfits - like khaki, navy, or emerald. You can view my blog about this here.
