I was only 17 years old when I photographed my first wedding… and I’ve been hooked ever since. Now, after documenting more than 100, I know that no two are exactly alike - and that’s what makes them so special.
That’s why I strive to be intentional about getting to know you and your fiancé during the planning process. From how you met, to what you like to do together, to the wedding color palette & schedule - the more I know about your personality and your wedding vision, the better I can capture your day.
- Haleigh
Ivy was professional & organized while also being personal and flexible. She's easy to work with & did everything possible to make our day specifically special for us. We got our pictures back quickly & they are PERFECT!!!! I recommend Ivy to anyone and everyone!!! She is simply the best!🤍"
- Kayla
She took our engagement and wedding pictures and we fell in love with them instantly! I can’t imagine anyone else being as attentive, professional, personal, or a better value as a photographer. Choosing her was the easiest decision of wedding planning!"
- Tiffany
The only way I can describe her photos are pure, bright and full of love. Not only were her pictures better than we could have imagined, Ivy was so professional and easy to work with. She even assisted us in finding such a wonderful wedding planner."

Preservation
I encourage you to sit down together as you scroll through your gallery for the first time, reliving every moment of your perfect day. You'll be able to download and share high-resolution images from your online gallery, and you'll receive a print release so you can print photos to your heart's content!
You only get to call each other “fiancé” for a short time, and engagement sessions are such a sweet way to savor that feeling. I love including these complimentary with my wedding collections.
They’re a great way for us to get to know one another better. You’ll learn the way that I work, and I’ll learn more about your personalities, how you interact with one another, and what approaches to posing & direction work best for you. All of this helps us feel more comfortable & confident working together on the wedding day. Plus, the engagement season flies by so fast - you can never have too many photos from it!
So you never forget the sweetness of this season

I’ll take pictures. Of a quick hug with grandma when she joins you in the bridal suite. Of your groom’s reaction to seeing you as his bride for the first time. Of the flower girl having a meltdown because she doesn’t want to walk down the aisle (let’s be real - it happens). Of you + your besties breaking it down on the dance floor.
But I’ll make pictures, too. I’ll style your details into a beautiful flatlay. I’ll fluff your dress so we can get the perfect bridal portrait. I’ll intentionally place and direct you when it’s time for posed photos so we can create images you’ll be proud to display on your walls & show your future children.
Sometimes I take pictures. Sometimes I make them. At your wedding, I’ll do both.
and I would try to correct him because the phrase was “taking pictures” not “making” them… right? Well - not fully (so dad, you were right). The further I’ve gotten in my career, the more I’ve realized both are true.
My photographic style is light, natural, and vibrant. I love being both interactive and discrete throughout the wedding day. There will be parts of the wedding day when I will need to be in control in order to accomplish everything that needs to be done in order to keep everyone on schedule. There will also be moments when you shouldn’t even know that I’m there. (The ceremony, during dances and toasts, etc.) I teach my couples how to pose and interact during their engagement session so they are naturals on the wedding day and don’t need quite as much instruction from me!
Yes, I travel for engagement sessions! I love it when my couples ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! I book engagement sessions around 1-3 months in advance and will travel to locations from Knoxville to Chattanooga (& in between) at no charge. Anywhere further may incur travel fees!
I average 75-100 final images per hour that I'm actively shooting throughout the day. I love delivering my clients' files via an online gallery. You will have the ability to share and download your images as much as you want. I believe in freely sharing my work because that is what I would want if I were in your shoes! A print release will be delivered along with your gallery so that you can print your images wherever you'd like.-
I always photograph on professional-level cameras with dual camera slots. This means that I am recording your images to 2 SD cards at once while shooting. After your wedding, I will back up the images onto two external hard drives. I also use a program that automatically backs those hard drives up in cloud-based storage until I complete your gallery. Your final images will be delivered via an online gallery link that will remain active for one year.

Although I have been to many of the venues in our local Knoxville and Chattanooga areas before, I want you to know that I am confident and capable of shooting anywhere! If I haven’t been to your venue before, I’ll usually try to arrive a little early to walk the property and familiarize myself with everything. Whether I’ve been to your venue before or not, I always try to approach your day with a fresh set of eyes & capture it in a way that’s creative but still authentic to you. Many of our portrait locations are determined by lighting and weather conditions as well, so even two weddings at the same venue will not be exactly the same!
