If we haven't met yet, I'm Ivy! I'm a wedding and senior photographer based in East Tennessee. I hope you'll relax, grab a cup of coffee (or a baja blast), and enjoy seeing my latest work, as well as getting an inside look at my life!
As soon as we planned Lexy & Ricky’s Downtown Chattanooga engagement session, I started keeping an eye on the weather for that day. Each time I checked, there was no threat of rain in Chattanooga at the time of our session. Yet, somehow… On my drive from Knoxville, I got stuck in a torrential downpour. I’m talking rain so heavy I couldn’t see the car in front of me. I pulled over to text Lexy and double-check the radar just in case things had changed. Chattanooga looked like it was in the clear, so as soon as I could see through the rain, I continued driving.
It was actually pretty sunny in Coolidge Park! Even though we were in the clear, we could see dark clouds from a distance. We decided to just keep our eyes on the sky and mentally prepared to make a run for it if we needed. Thankfully, we were spared! Looking at these images, you’d never know there was even a threat!
Even with the weather rollercoaster we endured, I had an AMAZING time getting to know Lexy & Ricky! We talked and laughed the whole time we were taking their Downtown Chattanooga engagement photos. They have been together for over five years, and they are getting married at the beautiful Highlands Chapel at Howe Farms next summer! They are absolutely perfect together.
At the beginning of the session, Lexy mentioned that nose kisses were “kind of their thing.” 🥺
If you’re looking for the perfect Downtown Chattanooga engagement photo spot – look no further than Coolidge Park. Paved walkways with lush greenery, the iconic Walnut Street Bridge, the Tennessee River…. what more could you ask for?!
THIS photo 👆🏻 may just be one of my new all-time favorites!
We loved the look of Downtown Chattanooga, but we wanted to visit one more location, too. Ricky proposed to Lexy at sunset in Point Park on March 6. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to take some more photos! I love when couples choose a location that has sentimental value. Plus… can you beat that overlook?
This little butterfly decided to join us for a few minutes, so I had to snap a photo of it too!
Thank you for choosing me as your photographer, Lexy and Ricky. I feel so honored to capture these memories for you! Of course, you are such a beautiful couple, you make my job easy! Our time together was so much fun that I can hardly wait until 2022!
Love,
Ivy
